About 365-IP
365-IP is a lightweight, privacy-friendly tool for checking your public IP address and learning how internet networking works. No account required, no data stored.
Who is behind this site
365-IP was created by Sorin BA, a web developer based in Staffordshire,UK. With 7 years of experience in web development / IT, this site was built to make network concepts accessible to everyone — not just IT professionals.
The goal is simple: give people a fast, transparent tool to check their IP address and understand what the results mean, without invasive tracking or unnecessary complexity.
You can reach the creator directly at [email protected].
What this site offers
365-IP provides a fast, mobile-friendly way to see your public IPv4 and IPv6 addresses, check dual-stack status, view basic device information (browser, OS, screen resolution), and optionally look up approximate geolocation data from your IP address.
Beyond the tool itself, we maintain a growing library of in-depth network guides covering topics like IPv4 vs IPv6, NAT and CGNAT, DNS basics, VPNs, firewalls, and practical troubleshooting steps. Every guide is written in plain language and aimed at helping both beginners and experienced users understand how their internet connection actually works.
How the tool works
Your IP address is detected client-side using public APIs (ipify for IPv4/IPv6). The PHP backend provides a server-side fallback in case the API is blocked. Geolocation data (ISP, city, timezone) is fetched only when you explicitly click "Detect location" — it is never automatic.
We do not log, store, or transmit your IP address to our own servers beyond what is inherent in a standard HTTP request. Your device details are computed entirely in your browser using JavaScript. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.
Why transparency matters
Pages like Privacy Policy, Terms, and Contact exist so you know exactly who is behind this site, how data is handled, and how to reach us. We believe every website — especially one that displays network information — should be upfront about what it does and doesn't do with your data.
Progressive Web App
365-IP can be installed as a PWA on your phone or desktop. This gives you an app-like experience with faster loading times and basic offline access. Look for the "Install App" button on the homepage if your browser supports it. Learn more about PWAs.
