Check your public IP address (IPv4 / IPv6)
365-IP shows your public IP, dual-stack status (IPv4 + IPv6), and basic device information. Useful for verifying VPN connections, troubleshooting firewalls, or configuring a new router.
Device & Connection Details
Useful when troubleshooting slow connections, browser compatibility issues, or verifying that a website detects your browser and screen resolution correctly.
IP Geolocation (optional)
Clicking Detect location queries a public geolocation API to show your approximate ISP, ASN, country, and timezone. Helpful for debugging routing issues or confirming VPN exit location.

What is Dual-Stack?
Dual-stack means your device can reach the internet over both IPv4 and IPv6 simultaneously. This is the ideal setup: modern services use IPv6, while IPv4 remains available for backwards compatibility.
Why is my IP location wrong?
IP geolocation relies on databases that map IP ranges to regions. It tracks your ISP's routing hub, not your physical address. A connection from a small town may appear as being in the nearest city.
Is my IP address private?
Your public IP is visible to every website you visit. It reveals your ISP and approximate area, but not your name or street address. For more privacy, use a reputable VPN and keep your browser up to date.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why does it say "Not detected" for IPv6?
Your ISP may not offer IPv6, your router might have IPv6 disabled, or you are on a mobile/Wi-Fi network that does not fully support IPv6. Some VPNs intentionally disable IPv6 to prevent leaks. Learn more about IPv6.
Why does my IP address change sometimes?
Most ISPs assign dynamic IPs. Your address can change when you restart your modem/router, after a DHCP lease expires, or when you switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data. Static vs dynamic IP explained.
Can I use this site for network diagnostics?
Yes, for quick checks (IP address, IPv6 availability, ISP info, device details). For advanced diagnostics like DNS lookups, ping, or traceroute, see our troubleshooting checklist.
What is CGNAT and how do I know if I am behind it?
Carrier-Grade NAT (CGNAT) means your ISP shares a single public IP among multiple customers. You can check by comparing the IP shown here with the WAN IP in your router's admin panel. If they differ, you are likely behind CGNAT. Full CGNAT guide.
Does this site store my IP address?
No. Your IP is detected client-side via external APIs (ipify) and is never sent to or stored on our servers. The PHP fallback shows your IP from the server request but is not logged by our application. See our Privacy Policy.
